I enjoyed all three books it was very entertaining and a excellent read. Learning how things were in England during WWII was fascinating and how they tried to survive and cope through many of the hardships of the War. The characters were great and became so real to me as I read each book and wanting to know what would become of each person as the war ended. I think Ruby growing up fast, was my favourite as she was searching for happiness and a special love in her life, however being so strong, hard-working, independent: she was the dedicated person that held the family together through all the war years. Looking forward to another Lizzie Lane adventure.

This was my favorite of the Sweet Sisters books,an emotional story about the Sweet family, their friends, and the village people fared during WW II. Recommend this story to both military and English story fans. Good reading.
